On the 7th local time, the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement saying that the IDF conducted airstrikes on multiple Hezbollah infrastructures in southern Lebanon in response to Hezbollah launching drones at IDF soldiers.

The statement noted that from the night of the 6th to the early morning of the 7th, Hezbollah militants launched two explosive drones at IDF soldiers carrying out missions in the "security zone" of the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, with no IDF personnel injured.

Following the incident, the IDF struck multiple Hezbollah infrastructures in southern Lebanon. Additionally, the IDF targeted several armed personnel who were transferring weapons, stating that this action was "to eliminate the threat they posed to IDF soldiers."

The IDF stated that measures were taken to minimize harm to unrelated individuals before launching the airstrikes. In response to reports of several unrelated individuals being injured in the airstrikes, the IDF stated that an investigation is underway.

The statement also mentioned that in response to another drone attack that occurred on the 6th, the IDF conducted airstrikes in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon, killing several Hezbollah militants.
