Italian media: US military attack on Geshm Island results in 1 dead and 2 injured
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, July 12 (Reporter Chen Xiao, Shadati) — According to a report from Iran's Mehr News Agency on the 12th, the governor of Qeshm County in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, stated that since the afternoon of the same day, approximately 11 "projectiles" fired by the enemy hit Qeshm Island in the county, resulting in one local death and two injuries.
The report said that the Hormozgan provincial government announced that Nuh Mahdavi, the head of the telecommunications department in the province, was killed in the attack launched by the United States that day, and two accompanying personnel were injured. The injured are receiving treatment. Previously, after Qeshm Island was attacked, Mahdavi was dispatched to ensure communication operations in the area.
