is an all-weather, single-engine, single-seat, multi-role fighter jet

that achieved its first combat results last year

“At that time, at the support base

we often heard the roar of fighter jets taking off

and the continuous sounding of air defense alarms

In May, the weather

at noon

was close to 50°C

Everyone was more concerned about

how to improve the on-site support work

to ensure that the equipment could demonstrate its true combat capability”

Xu Da from AVIC Chengfei recalls

“First, I was very worried

about the safety of our colleagues on site

Secondly, I was actually a bit anxious

the J-10CE is like

a child to all the personnel supporting the aviation front

handing it over to the user

faced an important 'big test'”

In the end

the J-10CE achieved combat results

Xu Da said:

“Actually, we were not very surprised

When the opportunity arises

it will inevitably perform so well!”

“The biggest advantage is

providing a Chinese solution in the international military trade market”

Now

the J-10CE has achieved complete domestic production

its airframe and materials are fully self-sufficient

the engine has been completely replaced

with the domestic WS-10B "Taihang" engine

the radar and avionics use top domestic equipment

the weapon system adopts

a series of new generation domestic munitions such as

“PL-15”

Li Jun, the chief designer of the J-10CE, introduced:

“The biggest advantage of the J-10CE in the entire 4th generation++ product system

is that it can provide a Chinese solution in the global military trade market

and this solution

is not subject to any restrictions from other third parties”

With the evolution of warfare patterns in recent years

especially the changing landscape of air combat

and the increasing market attention

the J-10CE may also

customize according to the natural environment and combat mission requirements

of different customer countries

Zeng Tao, deputy chief engineer of AVIC Chengfei:

“Although the product appearance is the same

we have never stopped

upgrading the relevant manufacturing capabilities”

Li Jun, chief designer of the J-10CE:

“We can flexibly adapt to user needs

such as standard configurations and optional configurations, etc.

The J-10CE still has a lot of room for improvement
