On July 5, Xinhua News Agency reported from Pyongyang (Reporter Wang Tianliao) that North Korea conducted a performance evaluation test of the combat system of the "Kang Gun" destroyer on the 3rd, which was observed by Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission.

According to reports, in accordance with the weapon system performance evaluation test plan, the "Kang Gun" destroyer conducted test launches of strategic cruise missiles and tests of main weapon systems including naval guns, automatic cannons, and electronic warfare means.

Kim Jong Un stated that North Korea must continue to vigorously advance the maintenance and continuous upgrading of its war deterrence and war execution capabilities. He requested that after completing the test procedures for the "Kang Gun" destroyer, it be handed over to the navy for service within two months.
