Colonel Zhai Shichen, spokesperson for the Southern Theater Command, stated that on May 27, the Dutch Navy frigate "De Ruyter" illegally intruded into China's Xisha Islands, with its onboard helicopters repeatedly entering Chinese airspace. The People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Command organized naval and air forces to take necessary measures in accordance with the law and regulations, including verbal warnings and warning electronic jamming, to drive it away.

The video shows that the Chinese Navy ships 631 and 626 closely drove away the Dutch Navy frigate "De Ruyter," while the Chinese Navy ship 553 issued a verbal warning to the Dutch NH-90 helicopter: "Dutch helicopter NH-90, this is the Chinese Navy ship 553, you have violated the airspace of the People's Republic of China, leave immediately! Leave immediately!"

On May 28, Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin stated that recently, a helicopter from the Dutch Navy frigate "De Ruyter" illegally intruded into the airspace of China's Xisha Islands, seriously violating China's sovereignty and harming China's security interests. The Chinese military organized naval and air forces to take strong measures to drive it away and lodged a solemn representation with the Dutch side. The Xisha Islands are an inherent territory of China. The Chinese military maintains a high level of readiness at all times and resolutely defends territorial sovereignty and maritime rights. We urge the Dutch side to stop infringement, reckless and provocative actions, and to strictly restrain frontline naval and air forces to avoid unforeseen maritime and aerial incidents.
