Macron: "Multinational Forces in Ukraine" Will Conduct Exercises in Neighboring Countries Within Months
On July 13, Xinhua News Agency reported from Paris (Reporter Qiao Benxiao) that French President Macron stated in Paris that the "Ukrainian Multinational Force" will conduct exercises in some neighboring countries of Ukraine within months.
Macron said that after a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, the force will be deployed in Ukraine as a "completely defensive" force, providing security guarantees to Ukraine. He emphasized that the "first pillar" of Ukraine's security guarantees is the Ukrainian military.
The "Volunteer Alliance," led by France and the UK and aimed at providing security guarantees for Ukraine, held a summit in Paris on the same day. At a joint press conference after the summit, Macron announced the above news. At the same time, UK Prime Minister Starmer stated that about 25 countries are currently planning to participate in the "Ukrainian Multinational Force."
