On March 5, Xinhua News Agency reported from Paris (Reporter Sun Yi) that French President Macron stated on social media that France must take action to prevent Lebanon from being drawn into war again and urged Israel not to escalate the conflict against Lebanon.

Macron stated that the people of Lebanon have the right to peace and security, and Israel must avoid launching any ground operations or large-scale military actions on Lebanese territory.

Macron said that the Lebanese government has promised him to control Hezbollah's positions and fully assume the country's security responsibilities. France will strengthen cooperation with the Lebanese Armed Forces, providing them with armored personnel carriers and operational and logistical support.

According to a statement released to the media on the 5th by IDF spokesperson Efi Defrin, the Israeli military has attacked over 320 targets within Lebanon since the 2nd.
