U.S. Military Claims to Have Struck Iranian Drone Carrier

On March 5, Xinhua News Agency reported from Washington that General Cooper, commander of the U.S. Central Command, stated that the U.S. military has sunk or destroyed more than 30 warships and hit an Iranian drone carrier.

On the same day, Cooper held a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of Defense Hegseth at the U.S. Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida. The U.S. Central Command is primarily responsible for U.S. military operations in the Middle East.

Cooper said, "Just in the past few hours, we hit an Iranian drone carrier, which is about the size of a World War II aircraft carrier. As we speak, it is already on fire."

Cooper also mentioned that Iranian ballistic missile attacks have decreased by 90% since the first day U.S. military operations began, and drone attacks have decreased by 83%. The U.S. military is destroying Iran's ballistic missile industrial facilities and aims to eliminate its rebuilding capabilities. In the next phase of operations, the U.S. military will systematically destroy Iran's future missile production capabilities.

Hegseth stated that the U.S. military has eliminated most of the Iranian Navy's capabilities and established "complete dominance" in the air and sea. He also noted that the U.S. military has ample ammunition, and both defensive and offensive weapon reserves are sufficient to support this operation.
