On July 10, Xinhua News Agency reported from Jerusalem (reporters Wang Zhuolun and Feng Guorui) that at the request of the United States, the Israeli government has ordered the military to temporarily suspend "sensitive" military operations in southern Lebanon.

The report stated that this directive will remain in effect until further notice and will depend on the developments in the situation between the United States and Iran, as well as the progress of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon.

The report mentioned that the United States has recently been busy with military confrontations with Iran and is concerned that Israeli actions could lead to further escalation of the situation.

The report cited a source from the Israeli security services as saying that the Israeli military is currently exercising restraint at the request of the U.S.

The report also stated that the Israeli military is expected to begin withdrawing from two areas within its designated "security zone" in southern Lebanon as early as next week. This withdrawal arrangement is part of a framework agreement reached between Israel and Lebanon in late June this year in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, both sides are expected to resume negotiations next week in Rome, the capital of Italy.
