Xinhua News Agency, Jerusalem, September 5 (Reporter Wang Zhuolun, Feng Guorui) reported on the 5th that the Israeli military is preparing to partially withdraw from southern Lebanon and plans to establish a smaller "security zone" along the Lebanon-Israel border.

The report stated that the Israeli military recently completed the destruction of Hezbollah tunnels in the area of the Alita Hill in southern Nabatiyeh, and subsequently formulated the aforementioned adjustment deployment plan. Israeli security officials said that according to the new plan, the Israeli military will withdraw to a position closer to the Lebanon-Israel border, reducing the depth of the area it controls in southern Lebanon from the current approximately 10 kilometers to 3 to 4 kilometers. The new deployment line is referred to as the "Gray Line," which will replace the current "Yellow Line."

The report also mentioned that this plan still requires approval from the Israeli government. According to the plan, the Israeli military will establish new military outposts within the reduced "security zone" and use this as a basis for military actions to protect the northern residential areas of Israel.

The report further stated that the Israeli military is preparing for a possible escalation of the situation on the northern front and is taking precautions against potential responses from Hezbollah and Iran.
