The Israel Times reported that the Israeli Ministry of Health is considering reducing the operational scale of internal medicine departments in hospitals, transferring some hospitalized patients back home to decrease the number of patients in hospitals. In addition, the Ministry of Health is also considering reallocating some doctors from hospitals in central Israel to hospitals in remote areas.
Israel's Channel 12 reported that the country's largest private hospital, Assuta Medical Center, has built an underground hospital in Tel Aviv with a capacity of 200 beds to respond to the emergency needs of the Ministry of Health. This underground hospital will receive patients from public hospitals that lack adequate protective measures.
