Cliff Coleman, a spokesperson for the Bell County Sheriff's Office in Texas, stated that the U.S. Army AH-64 "Apache" helicopter belonged to Fort Hood military base and crashed around 1:35 PM in a field in Salado, Texas, igniting a large fire that forced some residents to evacuate. The helicopter did not hit any buildings during the crash.
