Ministry of Defense: The Chinese Army Will Continue to Deepen Exchanges and Cooperation with Laos

Reporter: Recently, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping held talks with General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President Thongloun, who is on a state visit to China. The two countries issued a joint statement agreeing to strengthen defense and security cooperation. Chen Xi: China and Laos are socialist neighbors with a shared destiny, and the friendship of "comrades and brothers" remains as solid as a rock and unbreakable. The Chinese military will work together with the Lao side to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of both parties and countries, using the establishment of a "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism for diplomacy, national defense, and public security as an opportunity to strengthen strategic communication, enhance exchanges at all levels, successfully conduct friendly exchanges in border defense, continuously deepen cooperation in political work, joint exercises and training, medical support, personnel training, and other areas, and closely coordinate and cooperate on multilateral security affairs, making new contributions to building a comprehensive, all-weather China-Laos community of shared destiny in the new era.
