Zhang Xiaogang: China's military actions are aimed at safeguarding national territorial sovereignty and security interests, in accordance with international law and domestic law, and are completely legitimate and reasonable. It should be pointed out that history has a memory; Japan once launched aggressive wars under the pretext of a so-called "crisis of survival," committing heinous crimes against Asian neighbors and the world. Now, Japanese right-wing forces are repeating their old tricks, loudly proclaiming so-called "external threats" to deceive and mislead public opinion, creating excuses for their military expansion, and attempting to realize their unspeakable political ambitions. The international community should remain highly vigilant and resolutely resist Japan's "new militarism," working together to defend the achievements of World War II and the post-war international order. We also advise the Japanese side not to act unilaterally and turn back the clock of history; otherwise, they will only face quicker defeats and more severe losses.
