Relying on military exercises to bolster confidence will not bring true security. No matter who it is, treating confrontation as the norm and placing political self-interest above the well-being of the people will ultimately incur corresponding costs. The PLA will always maintain a high level of readiness and resolutely thwart any "Taiwan independence" attempts.
