This year's enrollment institutions remain the same as last year, totaling 22, including 1 directly under the Central Military Commission, 5 from the Army, 5 from the Navy, 4 from the Air Force, 1 from the Rocket Force, 1 from the Military Aerospace Force, 1 from the Cyber Space Force, 1 from the Information Support Force, 1 from the Joint Logistics Support Force, and 2 from the Armed Police Force. 2. What are the basic conditions for applying to military academies?

Answer: According to the "Measures for the Recruitment of Regular High School Graduates by Military Academies" jointly issued by the Ministry of Education and relevant departments of the Central Military Commission in December 2023, regular high school graduates applying to military academies must meet the following conditions:

Unmarried;

As of August 31 of this year, aged no less than 16 years and no more than 20 years;

Physical fitness test scores during high school must meet the passing standard;

Must participate in this year's National Unified Examination for Admission to Regular Institutions of Higher Education, with scores meeting the special type enrollment control line or the first batch line in their province.

Both current and past regular high school graduates can apply.

3. What is the process for applying to military academies?

Answer: There are mainly 5 steps:

① Political assessment, candidates must participate in political assessments as required by the military service agency in their place of household registration, permanent residence, or application location;

② Filling out the application, candidates fill out their applications according to the enrollment requirements of their province, autonomous region, or municipality;

③ Setting the military examination line, the provincial military district's enrollment office will set the military examination line in conjunction with the provincial enrollment committee office, based on 3 to 5 times the number of planned recruits, and announce it to the public;

④ Interview and physical examination, candidates who fill out military academy applications and meet the military examination line must participate in interviews and physical examinations as required by the local provincial military district's enrollment office;

⑤ File submission and admission, candidates who pass the political assessment, interview, and physical examination, and whose scores meet the admission score line of their chosen academy, will have their files submitted by the provincial enrollment committee office in order of scores from high to low during the early batch, and will be admitted after the academy reviews the files.

4. What does the political assessment mainly evaluate?

Answer: The political assessment mainly evaluates the candidate's political thought performance, as well as the political background and criminal record of family members and non-cohabiting siblings.

The main procedure: After the college entrance examination, candidates fill out the political assessment form, which is submitted by the school to the local military service agency through the education department of the county, district, or city. The military service agency, in conjunction with the public security agency, organizes the political assessment and makes a conclusion, which is reported step by step to the provincial military district's enrollment office, which provides it to the provincial enrollment committee office. Candidates can pay attention to the information released by local relevant departments for detailed content and requirements.

5. What aspects are generally assessed in the interview?

Answer: The interview is specifically organized and implemented by the provincial military district's enrollment office, mainly assessing the candidate's motivation for application, value orientation, growth experience, social support and communication, adaptability to the environment, as well as logical thinking and language expression abilities. After the interview, the interview conclusion is communicated to the interviewee on the spot. 6. What are the requirements for vision, height, weight, etc., for applying to military academies?

Answer: Military academies recruiting regular high school graduates implement the "Standards for Physical Examinations for Selecting Military Officers and Civilian Personnel," with the general standards for vision, height, and weight as follows:

① Vision, the uncorrected vision of either eye must not be less than 4.5;

② Height, males must be above 162 cm, females above 158 cm;

③ Weight, males' body mass index must be between 17.5 and 30, females' body mass index must be between 17 and 24.

7. What are the main differences between the "5+3" integrated program and the eight-year program at the three military medical universities?

Answer: Students in the "5+3" integrated program who pass the undergraduate phase will directly transition to the master's degree training phase, completing standardized residency training simultaneously, graduating with a master's degree and the rank of second lieutenant;

Students in the eight-year program who pass the undergraduate phase will directly transition to the doctoral degree training phase, graduating with a doctoral degree and the rank of captain, but must also participate in standardized residency training after graduation.

Answer: To meet the demand for non-commissioned officer talent in important positions for combat readiness and new domain forces, this year we will continue to pilot vocational technical education for non-commissioned officers (police officers) starting from a junior college level, arranging 23 military academies to recruit 1,333 students across 43 majors.

3. How can one check the results of cultural subject examinations?

Answer: Examination results are expected to be announced at the end of June or early July. At that time, soldier candidates can log in to the "Military Academy Enrollment Information Platform" on the Strong Army website using their ID number and candidate number to check their results.

If there are doubts about the results, soldier candidates can submit a review application to the enrollment business department of their unit on the day the results are released, which will be summarized step by step and reviewed by the enrollment business department of the Central Military Commission. The review will mainly check whether the soldier candidate's information matches the answer sheet, whether the scanned image of the answer sheet is clear and complete, whether there are any omissions in grading, and whether there are any errors in score statistics. The reviewed score will be the final score.

4. How do soldier candidates fill out their applications?

For candidates applying for full-time undergraduate education for officer (police officer) training, except for military cultural work majors and those changing to vocational technical education for non-commissioned officers (police officers), they can fill out 3 choices;

For candidates applying for vocational technical education for non-commissioned officers (police officers), except for adjustment choices, they can fill out 1 choice that is the same or similar to their current major;

For candidates applying for vocational technical education for non-commissioned officers (police officers) starting from a junior college level, they can fill out 1 choice and cannot make adjustments.

5. How is the file submission plan for soldier candidates applying for full-time undergraduate education for officer (police officer) training formulated?

Answer: The file submission plan for soldier candidates applying for full-time undergraduate education for officer (police officer) training (excluding military cultural work-related majors) is formulated by various departments and units based on the enrollment plan, candidate choices, physical examination conclusions, etc., ranking by the total score of military common subjects, cultural subject examination scores, and policy bonus points from high to low, using a parallel choice method.

If candidates have the same total score, the military common subject examination scores will be compared first, followed by cultural subject examination scores, and then sequentially compared for Chinese, Mathematics, English, military and political knowledge, and comprehensive scientific knowledge examination scores. Those who cannot be submitted according to their choices but accept adjustments can be adjusted; those who do not accept adjustments will not be submitted. Each department and unit will submit files to the academies based on 100% of the enrollment plan.

Answer: The file review for soldier candidates is conducted by the enrollment business department in conjunction with the file management department, and the review content includes the soldier's examination approval report and other candidate materials, enlistment approval documents, graduation certificates, and other materials.

The file review mainly checks whether the candidate's qualifications meet the conditions, whether the candidate's file is complete and intact, whether the candidate's information is consistent, and whether the file materials are authentic and valid.
