On June 11, 2018, President Xi visited a submarine unit of the Northern Theater Command Navy for inspection, going down to the cabin and entering the combat position to gain a detailed understanding of the technical and tactical performance of weapons and ammunition. On the submarine, President Xi had a warm exchange with Wang Tongyan.
