On April 27 local time, Oleg Kiper, the military and political leader of Ukraine's Odesa region, reported on social media that as of that morning, a large-scale nighttime drone attack by Russian forces on the city of Odesa had resulted in 11 injuries, all of whom have received necessary medical treatment, and related rescue efforts are still ongoing.

Kiper also stated that the damage caused by this night attack is extensive, with residential buildings and various civilian infrastructure in three areas of the city suffering varying degrees of damage, including hotels, cable car systems, and several warehouses.
