On the Eve of US-Iran Negotiations, Iran Showcases Advanced Ballistic Missiles

On the evening of the 4th local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a subterranean missile facility and showcased the "Khoramshahr-4" ballistic missile, which has entered operational deployment status. This is one of Iran's most advanced ballistic missiles.

The "Khoramshahr-4" missile has a range of 2,000 kilometers, a warhead weight of 1,500 kilograms, and an accuracy of about 30 meters. It is one of the key pillars of Iran's "active deterrence." This missile can reach speeds of up to Mach 16 outside the atmosphere and about Mach 8 upon re-entry, significantly compressing the response time of adversary air defense systems and enhancing penetration capabilities through a series of technical means.

As the Iranian armed forces announced a shift in combat philosophy from defense to offense, the operational deployment of the "Khoramshahr-4" sends a clear signal to regional and extraterritorial adversaries: Iran's missile capabilities are continuously improving in terms of accuracy, speed, and penetration ability, leveraging new technologies.

In an interview, senior commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Yahdollah Javani, emphasized that the display of the "Khoramshahr-4" missile conveys a clear message to the United States and other Western countries that Iran is firmly committed to maintaining its defense capabilities.

Javani stated that the negotiations scheduled for the 6th in Muscat, the capital of Oman, between Iran and the U.S. are limited to nuclear issues, and "Iran's deterrent capability is non-negotiable."
