Tarar said on social media early that morning that the Pakistani security forces launched ground operations in the Bajaur area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan on the 28th, killing 4 militants and injuring several others; from the night of the 28th to the early morning of the 29th, airstrikes targeted three locations in Afghanistan's Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar provinces, killing 25 militants and destroying a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

Tarar stated that this operation was a response to several recent terrorist attacks that occurred within Pakistan. Pakistan will never compromise on the safety of its citizens and will continue to vigorously advance counter-terrorism operations.

Mujahid posted on social media on the 29th, stating that Pakistan conducted airstrikes on the night before in three locations in Afghanistan's Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar provinces, resulting in casualties among dozens of civilians, including women and children.
