Putin: We Must Continue Large-Scale Strikes on Ukrainian Military Industrial Facilities
On July 3, Xinhua News Agency reported from Moscow (Reporter Wang Zuokui) that the Russian presidential website announced on the night of the 3rd that President Putin stated that large-scale strikes against Ukraine's military-industrial complex and related facilities must continue.
The report said that on the same day, Putin inspected an auxiliary command post of the Russian joint forces group and held a military meeting with the head of the Russian General Staff and commanders of various troops regarding the current situation and recent combat conditions in the special military operation area.
Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Gerasimov, reported at the meeting that the Russian military had launched five large-scale strikes in June against military-industrial complexes and related energy infrastructure within Ukraine, targeting 34 enterprises involved in the production of "Flamingo" cruise missiles, medium and long-range drones, robotic systems, and electronic warfare equipment, as well as 10 airports and 5 energy fuel facilities.
Gerasimov stated that from the evening of July 1 to the early morning of July 2, the Russian military again used long-range weapons and attack drones to carry out large-scale strikes against five key enterprises in Ukraine that produce long-range drones and cruise missiles, as well as logistics centers, 4 energy fuel facilities, and 5 military airports.
Commander of the "Northern" Group of Forces, Nikiforov, reported that the "Northern" Group of Forces is working to expand the security zone in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, but it is currently difficult to completely prevent Ukrainian drones from penetrating deep into Russian territory.
Putin stated that the more the Ukrainian side attacks Russian civilian facilities, the more the Russian side needs to establish a larger security zone. Building a security zone is one of the important components of completing the overall mission.
