Russia and Ukraine Exchange 386 Captured Personnel
Xinhua News Agency Moscow/Kiev, April 24 (Reporters Huang He, Li Dongxu) The Russian Ministry of Defense stated on the 24th that Russia has received back 193 captured personnel from Ukraine, and in exchange, Russia has also handed over 193 captured personnel to Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that currently, this group of captured Russian soldiers and civilians is receiving medical treatment and psychological counseling in Belarus, and will return to Russia afterward.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also mentioned that the United States and the United Arab Emirates provided humanitarian mediation efforts during this prisoner exchange operation between Russia and Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Zelensky posted on social media that 193 personnel from Ukraine were released back to the country on the same day. These individuals come from various departments, including the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Service, and the National Police.
