On the 6th local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Russian army has taken control of the Shevchenko settlement in Kharkiv Oblast and struck 153 areas in Ukraine. This includes production, storage, and launch sites for long-range drones, fuel, transportation and port infrastructure, as well as temporary deployment points for the Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries. The Russian air defense system shot down 13 guided aerial bombs, 4 "HIMARS" rockets, and 911 fixed-wing drones.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated on the 6th that the Ukrainian army attacked targets such as Russian troop assembly areas, drone control points, and artillery systems. On the same day, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that Ukrainian drones reached the Saint Petersburg region of Russia, striking Russian naval ammunition depots and the Kronstadt military base. Additionally, Ukrainian drones also targeted an oil storage facility in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia.
