On September 2 local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military carried out a cluster strike using air-based precision weapons and attack drones against logistics centers, ports, maritime vessels, and energy infrastructure used for the benefit of the Ukrainian armed forces. The report also stated that in the past day, the Russian military had taken control of the city of Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk region, as well as the settlement of Kozak Lopan in the Kharkiv region.

The Ukrainian 14th Army Group denied the Russian claims regarding the control of Kozak Lopan, stating that the area is still under the control of Ukrainian forces. The Ukrainian side reported that the situation in Kozak Lopan is tense, with the current combat situation in a state of dynamic change, as Ukrainian forces are holding their defensive lines and actively engaging in defensive operations, with fierce fighting still ongoing.

Kozak Lopan is located in the northern part of the Kharkiv region and serves as a major logistics hub and key transportation node for the Ukrainian military. (Reporter Wang Xinjun, Dong Wei from the Central Broadcasting Station)
