On November 2, Xinhua News Agency reported from Vladivostok (Reporter Sun Ping) that Russia's Commissioner for Human Rights, Tatyana Lantratova, announced on social media that the "silence regime" in the Oleshki humanitarian operation zone has ended, which was in effect from October 27 to November 1.

Lantratova stated that both Russia and Ukraine adhered to all obligations during the ceasefire in Oleshki, making it possible for local residents to receive aid and ensuring the safe evacuation of residents who chose to leave. During the ceasefire, cooperation was established between the Russian side and Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada (parliament) Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets, coordinated by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.

She mentioned that all parties are currently working together to continue humanitarian relief efforts, as residents remaining in Oleshki still need assistance.

Oleshki is located on the east bank of the Dnieper River, directly across from the city of Kherson, which is under Ukrainian control. Russia took control of the city on February 24, 2022, the same day it launched its special military operation against Ukraine. A partial ceasefire began on September 27 to allow humanitarian supplies to enter and to arrange for civilians to evacuate through designated safe corridors.
