The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that from the evening of September 19 to the early morning of September 20, a team from the "Pantsir-S" air defense missile system shot down three "Flamingo" cruise missiles launched by the Ukrainian military heading towards the Russian capital.
The report stated: "In the deep of night, a marker flashed on the combat vehicle's screen—it's a high-speed target. The missile team acted decisively: they locked onto the target, identified it as a cruise missile, and eliminated the aerial threat. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that from the evening of September 19 to the early morning of September 20, Russian air defense forces shot down a total of 1,600 aerial targets, including 8 "Flamingo" cruise missiles.
Additionally, according to a report by the Russian Lenta news agency on September 27, the Ukrainian national network reported that on September 27, air defense alarms in Kyiv sounded continuously for 15 hours, setting a new record.
The previous record for the duration of air raid alerts was set on August 27 of this year, when Kyiv issued 13 air raid alerts within 24 hours, lasting over 14 hours.
