According to a report from Xinhua News Agency in Moscow/Kyiv on July 30 (reporters Hou Ming and Li Dongxu), the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on the 30th that from the evening of the 29th to the early morning of the 30th, the Russian armed forces carried out a large-scale strike against Ukraine using land-based, sea-based, and air-based precision long-range weapons and attack drones. Ukrainian President Zelensky stated on social media on the 30th that the large-scale airstrike by the Russian military had resulted in 8 deaths and several dozen injuries across Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the strikes targeted military airfields, military industrial enterprises, military communication and logistics centers located in Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, Rivne Oblast, Vinnytsia Oblast, and Dnipro-Petrovsk Oblast. The Russian side claimed that these facilities were involved in the production, storage, and transportation of various missile guidance systems and drones, and provided support for the operation of air defense monitoring systems.

The report also mentioned that the Russian military attacked several cargo ships transporting weapons and military equipment to Ukraine.

Zelensky stated that the Russian military launched over 70 missiles into Ukrainian territory, a significant portion of which were ballistic missiles, and the Russian military also fired approximately 280 drones.

The Ukrainian Air Force stated on social media on the 30th that among the missiles launched by the Russian military were 4 "Zircon" hypersonic missiles and "Onyx" cruise missiles, as well as 9 ballistic missiles.

Zelensky noted that under conditions of "severe shortages and delivery delays" of air defense missiles provided by allies, Ukrainian aircraft and mobile air defense fire intercepted most of the missiles and drones. He called on allies to provide timely missile defense assistance to Ukraine.
