Russia says it will consider France's nuclear deployment plans in Europe when updating its strike target list.

On April 20, Xinhua News Agency reported from Vladivostok (Reporter Sun Ping) that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko stated that when updating the list of priority targets for the Russian military in future conflicts, the plans for France to deploy nuclear weapons in non-nuclear European countries will be taken into consideration.

In an interview, Grushko said that France has announced the possibility of dispersing its nuclear forces to non-nuclear European countries, which needs to be given special attention. If a serious conflict occurs in the future, Russia will closely monitor this situation when updating its priority military targets.

On March 2, French President Macron announced the "Frontline Deterrence" nuclear plan, stating that eight countries, including Germany and Poland, will participate. This plan will provide opportunities for European partner countries to participate in nuclear deterrence exercises, and in certain cases, allow France to "deploy strategic forces in allied countries," enabling French aircraft carrying nuclear weapons to penetrate deep into the European continent, thereby expanding the defense range.
