On February 10, Xinhua News Agency reported from Moscow (Reporter Jiang Youlin) that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated in the capital Moscow that Russia is willing to seek a resolution to the Ukraine issue through dialogue.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's website, Lavrov made a speech during the celebration of "Diplomat's Day" in Russia, saying that on the Ukraine issue, Russia seeks dialogue and aims to resolve it based on the consensus reached during the meeting between the Russian and U.S. leaders in Alaska.

Lavrov stated that Russia will continue its efforts to build a multipolar world based on the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, and will firmly oppose double standards, opaque operations, neocolonialism, and hegemonism.

Lavrov said that Russia will continue to prioritize the potential of its relationships with strategic partners such as China, India, Brazil, Egypt, and South Africa, and will work with like-minded countries to accelerate the establishment of trade, investment, monetary, financial, and logistics cooperation mechanisms that can respond to sanctions.
