On February 10 local time, Russian President Putin sent a congratulatory letter to Russian diplomats. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov read Putin's letter at the celebration of Diplomats' Day on the same day.

In the letter, Putin stated that against the backdrop of increasing global turmoil and tense situations in various regions, the active, constructive, and consensus-building role of Russian diplomacy has become increasingly prominent. The Russian side will continue to make full use of all diplomatic resources and means to effectively ensure national security, safeguard legitimate national interests, and create a favorable external environment for Russia's comprehensive and steady development.

Putin pointed out in the letter that the absolute priority of Russian diplomacy remains the further consolidation of friendly relations with the closest allies and neighbors in the CIS region and the promotion of the Eurasian integration process. At the same time, deepening partnerships with the "majority of the world" and promoting the establishment of a multipolar world order based on the supremacy of international law, security equality, and indivisibility, as well as justice and genuine democracy, remains an urgent task at present.
