The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on August 5 local time that in the past 24 hours, the Russian military has taken control of two residential areas. The Russian military also struck 153 locations, including fuel energy and transportation infrastructure, production workshops and storage sites for attack drones, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that in the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down 10 guided aerial bombs, 2 U.S.-made "HIMARS" rockets, and 1,083 fixed-wing drones. The Ukrainian military has suffered approximately 1,380 casualties across various operational directions.
