Russian side: Deploying NATO troops in Ukraine is unacceptable

After a meeting in Kyiv led by France and the UK, the "Volunteer Alliance" announced plans to send multinational military forces to Ukraine "after establishing a reliable ceasefire mechanism." Peskov said that the suggestion of NATO's intention to deploy troops to Ukraine is not new, although this time the accompanying condition is "after the conflict ends." "But we have repeatedly reiterated our position at various levels: the deployment of NATO troops is unacceptable to us."

Peskov stated that Western politicians continue to adopt an aggressive and belligerent attitude towards Russia. In this situation, Russia has to take measures to maintain its own security.
