On August 25 local time, Bulgarian Defense Minister Stoyanov stated to the media that there are no plans for the U.S. tanker that left the Bezmer Air Base in eastern Bulgaria on the 21st of this month to return to Bulgaria.

Stoyanov further explained that although the decision approved by the Bulgarian Parliament in July for the U.S. tanker to be stationed at the Bezmer Air Base until October 1 of this year is still valid, the U.S. side has confirmed that the U.S. tanker will not return to the Bulgarian base.
