This move comes shortly after a 10-day ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Lebanon, raising strong concerns about the effectiveness of the ceasefire agreement.

On the 18th, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) used the term "yellow line" for the first time in a statement regarding military operations in southern Lebanon. The IDF stated that while its troops were carrying out missions south of the "yellow line," they observed armed personnel approaching from north of the "yellow line," constituting a "direct threat."
