Spectacular Scene! Farewell Ceremonies for New Recruits Across the Country

With drums and gongs resounding, singing and dancing, the crowd lined the streets to send them off. Accompanied by the spring breeze of March, the new soldiers in military uniforms, wearing red flowers and sashes, were full of vigor as they set out for battle, carrying the hopes of their families and hometowns.

On the morning of March 14, a farewell event for new recruits entering the military in the first half of 2026 was held in Jieyang, Guangdong. The Yingge dance paved the way, while dragon and lion dances added to the excitement, showcasing the vibrant Chaozhou-Shantou intangible cultural heritage alongside the passionate spirit of serving the country, creating a lively and impressive scene.

On the playground of Maoxian Middle School in Sichuan, 16 Qiang ethnic new recruits, amidst the thunderous war drums and the powerful "Departure Dance," bid farewell to their hometowns and embarked on the journey of defending their country.

During the new recruits' departure ceremony in Pujiang County, Sichuan, the recruits were presented with the "Sword of Service," symbolizing their mission and glory. Under the affectionate gaze of their hometown elders, all the new recruits solemnly drew their swords, pledging to protect the peace of the country with their youth and blood.

Following in the footsteps of Zuo Quan to join the army, carrying the hometown's wishes to the military camp. In Liling City, Hunan Province, new recruits about to enlist visited the old house of the Zuo family and the Liling City National Defense Education Theme Park, reminiscing about the years of war, listening to heroic stories, and inspiring the new recruits to take their predecessors as examples, allowing their youth to shine brightly in the fiery military camp.
