The 48th Escort Task Force of the Chinese Navy Arrives in Malaysia for a Friendly Visit
Xinhua News Agency, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, October 8 (Du Jiangfan, Xu Taotao) On October 8 local time, the 48th Chinese Navy escort task force arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, to begin a 5-day friendly visit.
At around 9 a.m., the Navy ships Tangshan, Daqing, and Taihu, flying the flags of China and Malaysia, slowly entered Kota Kinabalu port. The officers and soldiers lined up in formation on the deck, looking sharp and spirited, waving to the welcoming crowd.
Representatives from the Malaysian Navy Eastern Fleet, staff from the Chinese Embassy and Consulate, representatives from Chinese-funded institutions, and overseas Chinese welcomed the ships at the dock, while the Malaysian military band played welcoming music to warmly greet the arrival of the task force vessels.
After docking, the welcoming crowd visited the task force vessels in batches to learn about the ship's performance and mission details up close.
During the visit, the commander of the Chinese task force will meet with Malaysian Navy leaders, and both sides will engage in professional exchanges and ship tours.

It is reported that from October 2 to 4, the task force made a technical stop at Singapore's Changi Port for equipment maintenance, repairs, and supply replenishment.
