On the afternoon of September 4, Colonel Jiang Bin, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, released information regarding recent military-related issues.

Jiang Bin: The China-Laos "Peace Train - 2026" humanitarian medical rescue joint exercise will be held in Laos in September. This exercise will focus on international humanitarian joint medical rescue in response to super typhoon disasters, emphasizing joint on-site search and rescue, casualty transport, health and epidemic prevention, psychological rescue, and other training activities. During this period, medical services will also be provided to the military and civilians in Laos. This is the sixth time the two militaries have conducted this series of joint exercises, which will further deepen and expand practical exchanges and cooperation in the fields of disaster medical rescue, tropical disease prevention, and infectious disease control, enhancing the joint command, joint rescue, and joint prevention capabilities of the two militaries, and better providing high-quality public safety products for regional countries and peoples.
