According to a report by Reference News on August 22, the Russian newspaper "Izvestia" reported on August 20 that the training curriculum at the military cook school will include drone operation instruction. In the future, personnel in relevant positions will need to master the operational skills of unmanned aerial vehicles and ground unmanned platform systems. This new skill can ensure the delivery of hot meals to frontline soldiers in areas where conventional transportation is difficult. Experts believe that this move will help improve supply efficiency and maintain the combat effectiveness of troops.

According to "Izvestia," citing informed sources, military cook trainees will first engage in theoretical learning to familiarize themselves with the structure and tactical technical specifications of drones and ground unmanned platform systems, followed by practical training with the equipment.

The training for operating ground unmanned vehicles will take place at a dedicated training ground, which will feature trenches, defensive structures, and other terrain obstacles and battlefield facilities commonly found in real combat scenarios. Trainees will need to complete cargo loading and operate the equipment to transport supplies to designated points. During the training, trainees will practice basic maneuvering operations and learn methods to avoid obstacles and counter electronic warfare interference. All instructors have practical experience in special military operations.

Military expert Yuri Lyamin stated that drone operation training should be widely promoted across the entire military at this stage. "The more soldiers who master drone operation skills, the higher the overall combat effectiveness of the armed forces," he explained. "A significant portion of the supply tasks for frontline troops is currently being handled by aerial or ground unmanned equipment."

Lyamin noted that in frontline areas, it is nearly impossible to rely on ordinary vehicles for food and ammunition supply, and sending people to risk delivering supplies is not the optimal solution; drone delivery is the safest supply method.
