The Russian Ministry of Defense claims a cruise missile was launched during nuclear submarine training.
On June 3 local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Northern Fleet's nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" successfully launched a "Granat" cruise missile during combat training exercises in the Barents Sea.
The report stated that the target was a "simulated enemy ship" located more than 200 kilometers away. Monitoring data indicated that the target was successfully hit.
The report also mentioned that, to ensure safety, the Kola Flotilla had implemented navigation and flight restrictions in the relevant sea area prior to the missile test launch. (Reporter Cheng Mo from the Central Radio and Television Station)
