Xinhua News Agency, Riyadh/Islamabad, October 5 (Reporter Luo Chen, Yang Kai) Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey held an emergency meeting of the "Mecca Defense Alliance" Strategic Political and Defense Committee in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on October 5 to discuss the changes and threats to the security situation faced by Saudi Arabia, agreeing to immediately deploy military forces in Saudi Arabia.

According to a joint statement from the three countries, the committee decided to immediately fulfill the commitment to collective defense and take necessary measures to ensure that the military forces agreed upon by the three countries are rapidly deployed to Saudi Arabia in accordance with approved arrangements and the domestic laws of each contracting party, thereby enhancing readiness, military integration levels, and the ability to jointly respond to and resist threats.

On August 7, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement." The agreement stipulates that any armed attack against any one of the three countries will be regarded as an attack against all three. On September 25, military leaders from the three countries met in Riyadh to condemn the attacks by the Yemeni Houthi forces against Saudi Arabia.

The three countries emphasized in their statement that the security of any one contracting party is an inseparable part of the collective security of the three countries, and transforming the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" into practical action reflects the credibility of the commitment to collective defense, which helps enhance deterrent effectiveness.

The three countries strongly condemned attempts to attack Mecca and Medina, as well as ongoing attacks against Saudi cities, civilian, and economic facilities, emphasizing their firm opposition to any actions that infringe upon or threaten Saudi Arabia's security and territorial integrity.
