The U.S. Military Launches a New Round of Strikes Against Iran

On July 17, Xinhua News Agency reported from Washington (reporters Huang Qiang and Shi Chun) that the U.S. Central Command announced on social media that the U.S. military launched a new round of strikes against Iran at 3 PM Eastern Time on the same day, marking the seventh consecutive night of such actions aimed at "continuing to weaken Iran's military capabilities."

Earlier that day, the U.S. Central Command stated that the U.S. military destroyed a surveillance tower located in the Iranian port of Chabahar on the 16th, describing the tower as "part of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' maritime surveillance network, which has been used for decades to track and target commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz."

Recently, the U.S. military has continuously launched military strikes against Iran. The U.S. Central Command reported on the 16th that the U.S. military conducted a large-scale strike against Iran that lasted a total of 7 hours and 40 minutes. The U.S. military employed fighter jets, drones, and warships, firing precision-guided munitions that hit dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, military logistics infrastructure, and maritime combat facilities.
