On April 7, Xinhua News Agency reported from Washington that U.S. President Trump stated during a phone interview with Fox News Channel reporters that the United States is currently engaged in "intense negotiations" regarding the situation with Iran, but he refused to disclose more details about these negotiations.
When asked about his views on the negotiations, Trump said, "I can't tell you because we are currently in intense negotiations."
Trump also mentioned that he is about to receive a comprehensive report regarding the proposal from Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz.
Earlier, Shahbaz posted on social media that he requested Trump to extend the "deadline" by two weeks and also asked Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks as a gesture of goodwill.
