Trump threatens to be "ready at any time" to strike Iran again

On September 2, Xinhua News Agency reported from Washington (reporters Huang Qiang and Xu Jianmei) that U.S. President Trump threatened on the 2nd that the U.S. is "ready at any time" to strike Iran again.

On that day, while answering media questions at the White House, Trump stated that Iran is attempting to rebuild its radar systems, missile systems, and mine-laying devices. The U.S. military's attack on Iran on the 1st was "very fierce," destroying all the new equipment that Iran "attempted to deploy along the coast of the Strait of Hormuz," and "we are ready to strike again at any time."

Trump also said that the U.S. has already and will continue to control the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "We have a large number of ships carrying millions of barrels of oil in and out every day, and overall everything is going smoothly. Although drones are occasionally shot down, we have a firm grip on the situation."

The U.S. Central Command announced on social media on the 1st that the U.S. military has completed a new round of strikes on Iranian military targets, which included air defense positions, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine-laying capabilities, and communication sites of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to Iranian media reports, the U.S. military launched attacks on multiple locations in southern Iran during the night of the 1st, affecting a wedding event in Sirik, Hormozgan Province, resulting in at least 4 deaths and 50 injuries.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responded to the U.S. attack on the 1st by claiming to have shot down a U.S. MQ-9 drone. The Jordanian Armed Forces issued a statement early on the 2nd, saying that the Jordanian air defense system intercepted 10 ballistic missiles from Iran in the past few hours, with another 3 ballistic missiles landing in remote areas.
