Ukraine Announces Withdrawal from the CIS Joint Air Defense System Agreement
Xinhua News Agency, Kyiv, February 25 (Reporter Jiang Hexuan) - Ukrainian President Zelensky signed a presidential decree on the 25th, announcing Ukraine's withdrawal from the agreement on the establishment of a joint air defense system for member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) signed in 1995.
According to another presidential decree published on the website of the Ukrainian President's Office, Ukraine will also withdraw from 30 international treaties reached within the framework of the CIS, including the agreement on the coordination body of the CIS adopted in 1991.
According to the presidential decree, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will notify the depositary of the relevant international treaties in accordance with the procedures.
