Xinhua News Agency, Kyiv/St. Petersburg, June 6 - Ukrainian President Zelensky stated on the 6th that the Ukrainian armed forces carried out drone strikes in multiple locations within Russia, targeting ammunition depots, military bases, and oil storage facilities. Officials in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast also reported that the area was subjected to large-scale drone attacks. The attacks in Leningrad Oblast have resulted in 3 injuries.

According to a report from the Ukrainian International News Agency on the 6th, Zelensky posted on social media that Ukrainian drones reached the St. Petersburg region of Russia, striking Russian naval ammunition depots and the Kronstadt military base. Additionally, Ukrainian drones targeted an oil storage facility in the southern Krasnodar region of Russia.

St. Petersburg Mayor Beglov stated on the 6th that the city has activated its air defense systems in response to the attacks. Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko said that the air defense systems in Leningrad Oblast shot down a total of 144 drones. Debris from the drones was found in several districts of the oblast, with some buildings' outer walls and glass being penetrated by the debris. The attacks also resulted in 3 injuries. The alert has now been lifted.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the 6th that from the evening of the 5th to the early morning of the 6th, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 376 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones in various locations across Russia.
