The Romanian Ministry of Defense stated that around 10:30 AM local time, an unmanned boat exploded in the civilian area of the port, causing no casualties.
It is reported that the unmanned boat was discovered that morning. Personnel from Romanian intelligence, the coast guard, and the Ministry of Defense had already sealed off the area before the explosion occurred. The boat subsequently self-destructed.
Kiev has announced that this is a Ukrainian unmanned boat. The Ukrainian Navy reported on Facebook that the unmanned boat was interfered with by Russian "electronic warfare systems," "lost control," and ultimately docked on the Romanian coast.
Russia, on the other hand, completely blames this incident on Ukraine. The Russian Embassy in Romania stated: "This is a Ukrainian unmanned boat. Any attempt to directly or indirectly link it to Russia and blame this incident on Russia is unfounded."
