Ukrainian Emergency Situations Service: Attack on Kramatorsk Results in 33 Deaths
Xinhua News Agency, Kyiv, October 8 (Reporter Li Dongxu) - The State Emergency Service of Ukraine stated on social media on the 8th that the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk was attacked by Russian forces that day, resulting in 33 deaths and 18 injuries.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that on that day in the Kramatorsk urban area, a passenger bus was attacked and caught fire, leading to the deaths of 30 people on board, and the fire also ignited two nearby buses. Additionally, the Russian attack resulted in the deaths of three local villagers in Kramatorsk.
The local prosecutor's office stated that around 10 a.m. on the 8th, Russian forces launched an attack on Kramatorsk using aerial bombs, and the attacked bus was located right in the core explosion area.
Vadim Filashkin, head of the military administration of the Donetsk region controlled by Ukraine, stated on social media that due to the sharp deterioration of the local security situation, public transportation in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk has been suspended.
