On April 8 local time, the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory (including East Jerusalem) and the Israeli issue warned that the U.S.-Iran conflict is overshadowing the surge of human rights violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The commission stated that since February 28, at least 200 Palestinians have died in Gaza due to Israeli military attacks, with medical evacuations nearly completely halted. In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, 22 people have been killed by Israeli security forces or settlers.

Additionally, the commission condemned the Israeli parliament's passage of a death penalty bill targeting Palestinians and reiterated that the Israeli military's acts of genocide in Gaza are ongoing. The commission calls on all parties to immediately cease violence, protect civilians, and adhere to international law. (Reporter: Yang Chun, CCTV)
