Rubio: U.S.-Iran technical negotiations will resume at the end of the month
U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated in Kuwait City on the 24th that technical negotiations between the United States and Iran will resume at the end of this month, likely to be held in Switzerland.
Rubio told reporters after concluding his visit to Kuwait and heading to Bahrain that the U.S. will not compromise the security of its Gulf allies in handling issues related to Iran. “We will remain fully aligned with our partners in the Gulf region.”
Earlier that day, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stated that the technical negotiations between the U.S. and Iran will continue on the 30th of this month. Technical teams from Pakistan and Qatar will continue to maintain close contact with the U.S. and Iranian technical teams in the coming weeks to ensure the effective implementation of the previously signed memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran.
Trump: U.S. will participate in IAEA's verification activities regarding Iran
U.S. President Trump stated in an interview with Fox News on the 24th that U.S. personnel will participate in the International Atomic Energy Agency's verification activities regarding Iran's nuclear facilities.
In response to Iran's claim that there are currently no plans to allow the IAEA access to the attacked nuclear facilities, Trump replied, “They will reach an agreement, put it in writing, and then they will backtrack, claiming that it is not true.”
Trump stated, “They have agreed, agreed to let the verification personnel in.” He also mentioned that there is no rush to have verification personnel immediately enter Iran.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Karibabadi stated on social media on the 24th that discussions and decisions regarding the verification of Iran's attacked nuclear facilities and nuclear materials can only take place within the framework of a final agreement and on the condition that the other party effectively terminates all sanctions. Iran currently has no plans to allow the IAEA access to the attacked nuclear facilities and nuclear material areas.
Israel's attack in southern Lebanon results in 2 deaths
According to the Lebanese National News Agency on the 24th, a moving car was attacked by Israeli forces near the city of Nabatiyeh in southern Lebanon, resulting in 2 deaths.
