U.S. Media Reveals Latest Movements of the "Lincoln" Aircraft Carrier: Plans to Dock in Thailand in Early September

In response, a U.S. Navy spokesperson told USA Today that for operational security reasons, the Navy does not comment on future operations or ship movements.

The USS Lincoln began its planned deployment last November, was redirected to the Middle East in January of this year, and participated in U.S. military operations against Iran and maritime blockades. The New York Times reported that during its 272-day deployment, the USS Lincoln spent most of its time on combat duty at sea, with only brief resupply stops in Guam and Oman, and approximately 5,000 sailors aboard did not receive regular rest.

Recently, it was revealed that sailors aboard the USS Lincoln faced living conditions and mental health issues due to the high-intensity operational tempo and prolonged deployment, with several individuals reportedly experiencing mental breakdowns and attempting to jump overboard. The U.S. Central Command reported on August 13 that a sailor from the USS Lincoln fell overboard on the 3rd and was rescued. According to a report by the New York Times on August 20, the USS Lincoln has departed the Middle East and is returning to its home port in San Diego, California. Meanwhile, the USS Washington, based in Japan, has taken over the mission in the Middle East from the USS Lincoln. Based on the estimated travel time, the USS Lincoln is expected to take about four to five weeks to return to San Diego.
